For Siemens Mobility Procurement & Logistics in Shanghai, we are looking for a Buyer.

What are your responsibilities?

• Conduct regional procurement market analysis (analyses of demand, markets, suppliers) to support global & local business.
• Screen the supplier market landscape, define the commodity strategy (Strategy Master) with X-functional team and manage the supplier strategy (Sourcing plan).
• Master the commodity strategy master in terms of price structure, technical and market development trend.
• Organize and coordinate the regional strategic procurement activities in line with strategic procurement process for the demands of different BUs/projects for local business, including but not limited to price and contract negotiations with completion of master/project contracts.
• Support the global factories in sourcing activities in China and monitor the project execution at suppliers.
• Control & Monitor the status of supplier development process, implementation milestones for GVS, second source and localization.
• Evaluate and continuously improve on Supplier performance.
• Perform claim management in case of delay in delivery or quality issues and etc.
• Communicate on a cross-functional level concerning supplier topics.

What do you need to qualify for this job?

• Longtime activity in purchasing and/or engineering and cross-functional experience by project in an adjacent functional area
• Excellent know-how in procurement process and contract law
• Excellent negotiation skills (incl. Advanced Negotiation Concept)
• Basic technical know-how and advanced project business experiences
• Good communication capability and skills on a cross-functional level
• Fluency in English both in written and in oral and German is a plus
• Rich experience in cross-cultural business
