Mission / Position
Execution of the Procurement reporting/controlling function to provide a regular
management information system. Optimization of controlling processes.
Areas of Responsibility:
1. Self-dependent and reliable execution of the reporting/controlling function to provide a
regular (management) information system and to establish data transparency within
defined area of responsibility.
2. Adherence to and deployment of super ordinated requirements (guidelines, KPIs) and
controlling tools to secure a consequent process compliance.
3. Development of complex and comprehensive (ad-hoc) analyses, concepts,
presentations and other support to lay an objective and reliable foundation for
management decisions.
4. Increase of transparency about Procurement activities and occurences within assigned
area of responsibility to assist and support business challenges and processes on
functional level. Compilation of analyses and derivation of proposals/hypotheses for
improvement of material field strategies.
5. Optimization and efficiency enhancement of the controlling process under selection,
development and implementation of appropriate controlling tools (following superordinated
requirements) for the assigned area of responsibility. Leading/participating in workshops
and projects to collect information and to further develop the controlling function.
6. Coordination and controlling of the budget planning for the assigned unit(s) (worldwide),
in alignment with other relevant organizational units, cross-functions and superordinated
units.
7. Ensure knowledge transfer (guidelines, tools, etc.) to the assigned unit(s) and interface
partners through proactive communication and lead of / participation in workshops.
Requirements:
- Basic understanding of Siemens SCM strategy and contributes to it within his/her area of responsibility.
- Function & Methods Planning in Procurement
- Be able to identify the requirements of budget and forecast planning for his/her material field (long-term perspective) based on business planning and economic trends
- Be able to represent reporting unit in expert teams
- Be able to set up corrective measures in a strategic action plan to achieve the SCM goals.
- Function & Methods Contribution to profit and loss.
- Understand the monetary and non-monetary contributions of SCM to profit and loss.
- Have a deep understanding on the end-to-end supply chain and the corresponding impact in profit and loss.
- Visibly contributes to the company´s profit
- Be able to develop Scorecards in super ordinated area and evaluates correlation of Scorecard elements
