Ring is looking for a qualified, innovative site production engineer to join our growing team. In this position, you will oversee, plan, direct, and coordinate activities that support contractor/supplier controls and manufacturing processes. You will need engineering aptitude, a high attention to detail, and the ability to optimize the production process for maximum efficiency.

Job responsibilities
· Identify manufacturing needs for new products in development
· Participation in design & planning through DFM, Line balancing, Process Yield, Capacity, and Cost Modeling
· Work with CM’s engineering teams to identify and escalate manufacturing challenges by enforcing DFM and DFT principles
· Review and approve of design, specifications and qualifications for process flow (SMT / PCBA)
· Review and approve Fixtures Designs & Qualification (FATP, device build)
· Review and execute Manufacturing Test Coverage Documents to ensure new products launch
· Define the process qualification criteria, manage the qualification activities, and complete documentation
· Lead efforts for root cause and corrective action for all manufacturing process-related issues
· Ensure technical readiness for product ramp and serve as technical lead/advisor to factory operations managers
· Drive test flow optimization, process, and yield improvements to exceed our volume production goals
· Periodically audit the CM for manufacture process quality management system
· Design new systems and processes and provide facilities & methods to ensure the cost-effective integration of new products or for the improvement of existing ones into manufacturing operations
· Ensure all product and system requirements are taken into account, from the initial product conception to the finished result
· Review the production documentation which the contractor/supplier generated, such as assembly instructions, and provide the guidance
· Supervise and monitor the variability reduction in manufacturing by working with the factory with their providing standard work methods and work instructions
· Ensure product and process quality meets specifications required
· Oversee installation of machinery and equipment if new or transfer introduction is required
· Review MPIs (Manufacturing Process Instructions) and documentation based on robust understanding of optimal assembly and test steps
· Ensure the implementation and management of Engineering Changer Order
· Supervise and drive the factory to improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout
· Respond to breakdowns, report down time, and possible trends
· Support and lead/drive continuous improvement, problem solving, and process improvement activities
· Drive FMEAs (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) process documentation and implement improvements
· Complete and give presentations for project approvals and updates to engineering oversight board and management
· Contribute to continuous improvement activities, support and lead process improvement activities
· Quality control of work by appropriate reviews and approval
· Review optimal plant layouts, support maintenance with equipment issues, support manufacturing best practices
· Manage the KPIs for the factory's demand fulfillment and manufacturing/quality excellence, attend various meetings and communicate instructions, perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
