Job summary
Ring is looking for a qualified and experienced Site Technical Manager to join our growing team. In this position, you will oversee, plan, direct, and coordinate activities that support the manufacturing process for our products. Engineering aptitude, high attention to detail, leadership skills, and the ability to optimize the production process to drive efficiencies are necessary for this role. The Senior Production Engineer will formalize production processes and procedures, and strive for continuous productivity and quality improvements.

Responsibilities

• Document current production procedures, and develop standards for improving the production efficiency among contractors/suppliers.
• Collaborate with the quality department to identify and implement ongoing improvements.
• Maintain knowledge and technical expertise of current production best practices, tools, and techniques and implement them in a reasonable manner.
• Develop and implement production processes for products, product enhancements, and product changes. Review the design and installation of related fixtures and tooling, as required.
• Develop and implement enhanced production testing of products.
• Minimize production costs while maximizing productivity.
• Collect, analyze, summarize, and present production and process data, information, and trends to management.
• Create and maintain accurate and current documentation of tool drawings, design concepts, and orders in accordance with the Product Development and Quality Assurance functions.
• Source new equipment and material suppliers as required.
• Support and review process engineering change notice (ECN) and related Material Review Board (MRB) activities, as required.
• Assist in the evaluation of returned materials/products.
• Review contractor/supplier’s operational facility layouts for process improvement.
• Review the factory’s production times and relative costs to provide information for business decisions.
• Define and focus on different production lines to ensure quality.
• Planning for team; gives input when requested while defining roadmap.
• Make proposals for problem solving bottlenecks.
• Lead cross-competency teams for escalation resolution and design improvements.
• Contribute to the development of sub-modules, and has a responsibility for the results of the sub modules.

Key job responsibilities
Production engineers/Site Technical Managers are responsible for the design, development, implementation, operation and management of manufacturing processes and systems. Great product design cannot be separated from the manufacturing process which is used to produce them. The approach of the Production Engineering team to manufacturing engineering and process engineering starts at the beginning of the project when it is being developed. Every move of the way, the top priority of the team's consideration is to make sure that the manufacturing strategy can be best suited to the engineering requirements and design accordingly. From the production line layout to equipment's selection and optimization, from standardized process flow to profitable volume production, from process validation to cost reduction out of production techniques, our engineers as the ultimate conductor manage work towards each streamline over production.


A day in the life
This role is devoted to bridge the communication as open as it is between management, the R&D engineers, and CM suppliers. This role relies on the methodologies and processes which we are aware of to discern what can work best during the manufacturing of the specific product when it comes to product design. When it comes to issues about Design for Manufacturability to be fixed, in addition for all we know to provide the solution of fixing issues, we customarily keep on the connection with the technical resources in the network where we consolidate the ideas somewhere until the best solution is reachable.

Ring Production Engineering team, is a team grouped by experts in project management and technical manufacturing engineering, who is responsible for taking the lead of the manufacturing process from the early stage to the end of life of products. It’s included in our job to effectively lead all technical activities and successfully deliver new products from design to volume production.
