Introduction\:

The Oracle Communications Application Global Business Unity (CAGBU) team provides SaaS application based solutions to Telecoms and Enterprise clients all around the world by providing integrated application solutions for Buying, Care, Ordering, Billing, Rating and Service Fulfilment. As part of our team we have a devops suppport team this is critical to our success. This team develops and supports Oracle cloud framework (PaaS/IaaS) to automate deployment of CAGBU SaaS solutions.  The team's ethos and objective are based advocating and implementing full devops automation for highly available cloud native software in an agile way using latest cloud industry best practices 

Job Description\:

As a CAGBU application devops software developer you will be part of a team providing 24x7x365 global support coverage to CABGU live customers that are globally based. You will be part of a team that will respond to application specific issues running on Oracle OCI cloud. You will also be part of a team that  are responsible for defining, developing and deploying key IaaS/PaaS infrastructure to allow fully automated zero human touch SaaS CI/CD pipelines for deploying and continually updating our customers cloud applications. This work includes enabling logging, telemetry, security, scalability and resilence all adhering to latest cloud native principles. Cloud applications you wll work with are microservice based architecture with highly complex inter-service choreography.

You will interact with application development teams and customer support teams based globally in many different countries. 

Qualifications\:

• Degree in Computer Science, information systems or equivalent.
• 1-3 years IT experience

Desired Skils\:

• Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for frameworks, databases and applications
• Knowledge and experience with Oracle Database, Java and Linux/Unix
• Experience with Java, C , JavaScript and scripting languages
• Experience of REST APIs
• Knowledge or Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes 
• Knowledge of Cloud Native Architecture 
• Knowledge or Experience of Containerization technologies -  Kubernetes and Docker
• Knowledge or Experience of Cloud Monitoring or Analytic platforms such as Elastic, Kibana, Grafana, Prometheuse, Nagios

·  Quickly master technical and functional areas to perform the duties assigned.

·   Constant assignments to learn cutting edge Cloud computing technologies, tools, and services.

·  Participate with the investigation, documentation, and resolution of issues affecting SaaS Services in production environment. 

· Have a data-driven process/mindset, author technical content to support the incident response process (e.g. postmortem/root cause analysis) and develop interim solution to prevent or quickly resolve issues/problems the next time.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements\:

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for running CAGBU SaaS solutions and applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture. You will also be responsible as part of a team in supporting live Oracle customers running Oracle solutions on Oracle OCI public cloud.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 to 3 years of software engineering or related experience.

Job Type\: Regular Employee Hire but with requirement to work in a shift time providing 24x7 Global operational support coverage.
