Our team develops system level products and services for the Oracle Cloud and
Enterprise Customers.
Team\:
We are a team of highly technical and talented engineers that come from
diverse backgrounds. We are currently developing operating systems solutions for large scale deployments including hybrid cloud solutions to allow migration
between on premise and the cloud. We have opportunities for learning kernel programming, file systems, storage, cloud technologies, storage management, fault management, REST APIs, Object Storage APIs and infrastructure and user
interfaces. Our work involves a deep understanding of kernel programming, storage systems and how components work together in that system. Quality innovation is a key part of our culture and much of our development is driven by the freedom to pursue innovative ideas.
Required Skills\:
- Demonstrated proficiency in Software development lifecycle.
- Demonstrated curiosity of large system software development project
- Strong knowledge of C, Filesystems, Unix programming
- Experienced with data structures and algorithms.
- Unix based operating systems and Kernel programming
Required Experience\:
- BSCS or BSEE
- 1-2 years of professional experience as a software developer
Desirable Skills\:
- Filesystem development experience
- Knowledge of storage concepts, storage tiering, object storage
As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.
