As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 3-5 years of Food and Beverage industry product development experience in terms of developing complex features and security related enhancements for large enterprises.

Oracle Hospitality Simphony is the premiere cloud and mobile hospitality management platform that provides point-of-sale (POS) and back-office functionality on fixed workstations and mobile devices to support a range of food and beverage operations. It provides guest engagement capabilities, standardized reporting, and advanced central management controls to increase operational efficiency. Oracle Hospitality Simphony Cloud Service handles multi-property POS configurations consisting of thousands of workstations and is still flexible enough to scale down to single property operations. Responsibilities:

• Develop secure, high-quality software designs and architecture
• Develop and enhance features with cohesive security mindset
• Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
• Perform validation and verification testing

Skills Required:

• 5-10 years+ C# .Net/ .Net Core / Mono / Android / Linux / Oracle Cloud Native Computing / Kubernetes / Docker / Web Services development experience
• 3-5 years of experience in Food and Beverage product development
• Deep product knowledge on Oracle Simphony and related products
• Deep knowledge of POS security and handling of sensitive POS data
• Deep knowledge and ability to build high performing, scalable and reliable services
• Strong knowledge of multi-tenant cloud architecture
• Proven record of building software components and multi-threaded services in Food and Beverage industry products
• Experience in designing and developing APIs
• Experience with DevOps and Cloud Security
• Good working knowledge in Oracle PL/SQL with Oracle 19c/DBaaS with RAS
• Must have knowledge and experience working with POS operations
• Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including analysis, design, implementation, testing, delivery, and the Agile development model
• Dedicated team player, with excellent communication skills
• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.
