We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in high availability, virtualized networks, and packet processing.  You will lead software architecture, design, and development for VPN services that securely connect customer’s to Oracle’s Cloud.  It’s early in the lifecycle so you should be good at defining long term scalable architectures, working in small teams of cross-functional engineers, and developing software that delivers customer value.

·        2 years distributed systems software development

·        1 years network programming (packet processing, firewalls, vpn, etc.)

·        Proficient in C, Java a plus

·        Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

·        Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field

·       Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, problem solving, algorithm design and analysis

·       Experience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, SSL, VPN, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS and LDAP etc.

·       Experience with at least two scripting languages such as python, bash, perl, or ruby

·       Expert skill in one modern programming language such as C, C , Java, or Python and proficiency with one other programming language

·       Excellent judgment in influence for product roadmap direction, features, and priorities

!|!Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.
