The Oracle APEX development team is looking for highly motivated, experienced and self-directed APEX developers to work on enhancements and new capabilities for the core APEX product. Oracle APEX is the market-leading enterprise low-code development platform which enables customers to design, develop and deploy beautiful, responsive, data-driven desktop and mobile applications using only a browser. The ideal candidate for this position will have mastery of PL/SQL, SQL, HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and has a thorough understanding of modern web development principles, the Oracle Database and REST-based Web services.

 

Required skills

- 8+ years of experience in software engineering 

- Strong knowledge and professional experience developing applications using APEX.

- Strong Oracle Database development skills using SQL and PL/SQL.

- In depth knowledge of RESTful Web Services.

- Experience integrating with and building extensions for Oracle Cloud Applications  (Fusion SaaS).

- Experience working with JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5, and Responsive Design. 

- Knowledge of Database Administration.

- Experience in unit testing, debugging, code organization.

- Good Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to deliver effectively as part of a remote team as well as independently.

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
