As a member of the Oracle Analytics engineering team, you will be involved in the complete software development and delivery lifecycle of the Analytics service ranging from architecture, design, development, lifecycle management, quality, automation, deployment and production support of the various offerings of Analytics on cloud.  This role provides an opportunity to develop highly schedule-oriented, customer-centric, secure, compliant , robust and scalable software.  Our team follows an active devops engagement model, encouraging ownership of the product from development to production. 

 

The position requires a BS or MS degree with 4 years of software engineering or related experience. 

 

The candidate must possess strong technical foundation in\:

Data structures, algorithms, design patterns, object-orianted programming  and distributed systems fundamentals.

Linux operating system, relational databases, http servers.   

Python, Java, RESTful API, JAX-RS, JDBC, Shell scripting

Maven, Gradle, Github, Guice, Swagger 

VM and Networks virtualization and network architecture and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSH, VPN)

Cloud automation technologies such as Jenkins, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible

Container related technologies including Docker and Kubernetes 

!|!Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
