As a DevOps engineer, you will solve interesting technical challenges by defining, designing, deploying and troubleshooting key Oracle applications, platforms, and infrastructure, always thinking about reliability, scalability, resilience, security, and performance.

We are looking for a seasoned solution and tools developer who can develop, architect, design, solution and deliver on a spectrum of demands across the workflow automation, collaboration and planning experiences data integrations, API’s and services.

Common Tasks

Execution 

- Specify, design, develop and implement the infrastructure automation in order to build and test software applications and platforms 

- Defining, designing, deploying and troubleshooting key Oracle applications, platforms, and infrastructure

- Develop, architect, design, solution and deliver on a spectrum of demands across the workflow automation, collaboration and planning experiences data integrations, API’s and services

- Analyze, design, develop and support software programs within the medium to large DevOps infrastructure

- Troubleshoot and debug the infrastructure and the software program defects of any complexity 

Teamwork/Leadership 

- Contribute to the definition of the team processes and standards 

- Operate independently and as part of a team within Agile approach

- Manage the delivery of new low level operating system or database features 

Job Specifics

Education\: 

Possess B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent experience relative to functional area  

Experience in the field\: 4-7 years

Professional skills

To have several of the following professional skills and/or be able to achieve technical knowledge in as much as possible areas, such as\:

- DevOps, Orchestration/Configuration Management and Continuous Integration technology (e.g. Jenkins/Hudson, Bamboo, Artifactory, Chef, Puppet)

- Good OS admin skills - Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat) and/or Microsoft Windows Server and associated technologies (LDAP/Active Directory, Exchange etc.)

- One or more Web and Application Server technologies (e.g. Apache HTTPD, Apache Tomcat, Glassfish)

- Reasonable programming language skills in Java and C/C , Python, node.js/Javascript.

- Container and micro-services management (e.g. Docker / Kubernets etc.)

- Understanding and fast learning of combining build automation tools with SQE/QA tools (e.g Apache FindBugs, Selenium, etc)

- One or more buiding tools platforms (e.g. ANT, Maven, Gradle, etc.)

- One or more scripting language (e.g. Bash, Batch, Python, Groovy, etc)

- Knowledge about networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP

- One or more version control platform (e.g. Git, SVN)

- Experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications

- Minimal Exposure to Virtualization (Hypervisors, VMware, Xen)

- Understand of the complete deployment lifecycle from design, build, test, deploy.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. At least 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
