The Food & Beverage Global Business Unit Professional Services team is looking for a motivated individual to fill the open Software Development Consultant position. 

Everyday responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Developing and testing custom applications that enhance functionality for core Oracle F&B products

    Providing consultation via requirements gathering for new customization engagements (working with customers to understand and document functional requirements for new potential customization projects)

    Creating design documents for customization engagements

    Reading and translating design documents for customization engagements

    Creating & modifying custom application installation and usage documentation for end users

    Providing support to customers and external partners for integration initiatives via available Oracle F&B Application Programming Interfaces ("APIs")

    Troubleshooting and supporting custom Professional Services-developed applications

    Assisting customers with testing new custom applications

Candidate must meet the following requirements:

    3+ years’ experience in software development with working knowledge of the following technologies: C#.NET, SOAP/REST web services, SQL Server, Oracle, WCF, ASP.NET, Visual Studio IDE, source control (SVN)

    Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and must be comfortable communicating internally as well as externally with Oracle F&B customers, partners, etc.

    Experience creating internal as well as external technical documentation

    Working knowledge of the following Oracle F&B products is preferred:

        Oracle Hospitality Simphony

        Oracle Hospitality RES 3700

        Oracle Hospitality Reporting & Analytics

        Oracle Hospitality Gift & Loyalty

        Oracle Hospitality Labor Management

        Oracle Hospitality Inventory Management

 

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

You will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
