SOFTWARE DEVELOPER (JoinOCI)

The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure team is the leading edge team building and operating a suite of massive scale, integrated cloud services in a broadly distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. We are seeking a Software Developer to join the OCI Email Delivery Service team. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and possess a wide range of skills and experience, but most importantly have a willingness to learn and contribute in a highly dynamic setting. As an engineer, this individual should have the ability to understand complex problems and strike a good balance between business goals and technical implementations. 

• Have at least 4 years of experience as a Software Developer
• Experience developing systems and/or high-performance applications in a low-level language (C/C )
• Comfortable doing test automation, maintenance, and enhancements to your own code and other people's code
• Experience with Unix-like OS
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and basic networking
• Knowledge of Internet protocols and standards, specifically email related
• Understanding of basic secure design concepts and ability to apply them pragmatically
• Ability to understand new concepts quickly, and apply them accurately
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Able to make forward progress independently but comfortable asking questions to clear impediments
• Comfortable and effective when communicating with remote teams in different time zones
• Possess strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Flexible and resourceful team player that is able to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment 
• Experience in Agile Development 
• Experience with test automation, such as robot framework, is an advantage
• Knowledge of Python is an advantage

Design, develop, test, deploy, and debug software programs for an email service. Learn and get fully competent in the email related protocols and components in the email infrastructure. Specify, design and implement enhancements to existing software to meet changing needs. Help with the deployment and operation of the related service.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex should have independent judgment. Would prefer a BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 

!|!Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
