The Applications Technology Group (ATG) within Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) development division develops and maintains several platform tools and technologies for EBS such as OA Framework for UI development, Integrated SOA Gateway for SOAP & REST services, Mobile Foundation, Workflow, Lifecycle Management tools like Enterprise Manager plugin and so on. ATG is looking forward for a versatile engineering manager to lead a small team of engineers and build a highly capable engineering organization. We are looking for the following skill-set:

Core Skills:

1. Strong engineering skills. Proven track record of individual contribution using Java, J2EE languages and application servers like Weblogic.

2. Expert in programming, debugging, analyzing, profiling and heap analysis of Java code

3. Expert in design, architecture of complex software systems

4. Proficient in Oracle Database SQL, PL/SQL

5. Proficient in Web/Moblle application security vulnerability remedies for XSS, Injection attacks etc.

6. Conversant with RESTful services

Managerial Skills:

1. Ability to hire, retain, motivate a small team of upto 10 engineers

2. Provide engineering/technical leadership to the team

3. Drive performance goals/objectives within the team t

4. Excellent Verbal and Written communication in English

5. Customer obsessed. Feels challenged to address customer issues

6. Ability & flexibility to work in a global team

OTA-IWE-MX

Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically one year of software engineering or related experience.
