Job Description

Oracle Application Labs (OAL) implements, maintains, upgrades and extends the applications that Oracle requires to meet its rapidly changing business requirements and provides a showcase for Oracle's products. Oracle Application Labs influences the direction and strategy for Oracle's products through collaborative and often pioneering involvement in business applications.

The Incentive Compensation  New Initiatives team within OAL is responsible for the design, development and implementation of next generation of solutions for Incentive Compensation business team. These applications and solutions are critical to Oracle as they are used to drive the Sales Compensation for Sales organization.


Responsibilities\:
This position is for a highly dynamic individual with a strong technical background who will build and lead the team that will be responsible for implementing solutions in the Service Renewals team.

• Manages a team of developers in charge for designing and developing applications using Java, JPA, Spring, JavaScript,

HTML, CSS
• Mentors the team of developers on development approaches and practices
• Builds partnerships with the business team
• Enjoys delving into the technical underpinnings of the implementation and contributing on a technical level as required • Researches new frameworks, technologies and recommends for adoption
• Manages and coordinates complex tasks with various stake holders
• Implements complex cross functional solutions that are high performing and with excellent quality


Desired Requirements\:
• Graduate degree in computer science or related field
• Overall experience of 5 to 8 years in software coding and development
• Strong leadership skills needed to build and motivate the new team
• Experience managing multiple projects with aggressive timelines
• Experience building applications in Java, JPA, Hibernate
• Experience in developing web services
• Exposure to JavaScript, HTML, CSS and other front end frameworks
• Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work in a matrix environment
• Ability to effectively interact with sub teams in all time zones to support a global implementation

!|!Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically one year of software engineering or related experience.
