Manager - Tools and Automation, NSGBU

Requirements:

• 3+ years of management experience hiring and leading successful software engineering teams

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Familiarity with SaaS/Cloud operations technologies

• Solid coding experience, preferably in Python, Javascript   

• Good understanding of SDLC

• Knowledge of QA standards and best practices 

• Cross-functional leadership experience, to work effectively with multiple teams within the organization

• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies

 

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 3-5 people developing and implementing innovative cloud-native solutions for NetSuite Cloud operations

• Perform code reviews and provide guidance and coding best practices to the team

• Contribute to architectural design and make overall architecture decisions and product roadmaps

• Provide mentorship to team members, define their goals 

• Communicate and review development progress through periodic presentations to stakeholders and management

• Provide direction and priorities to the team by participating in activities such as sprint planning, sprint reviews, backlog grooming

• Manage on-call support rotation

Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.

Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically one year of software engineering or related experience.
