About the team
What you will do
Do you like challenges? We have a big one here in NetSuite – we are building completely new NetSuite’s business intelligence architecture and we need to ensure that it returns correct data in every moment. The project is so big that standard testing approaches are failing here. We need a robust and reliable automation solution to help us assure that the product we deliver to customers meets the high quality standards we define. We need you to challenge the status quo, to come up with bright ideas to make the testing process more effective and trust-worthy. Join our quality assurance team and work closely with product managers and development team to create a cutting edge user interface.
Responsibilities
- Develop any supporting systems that the test automation/quality assurance process may require including an in-house built automation framework
Bring new technologies and ideas how to improve our testing
- Code automated tests
- Design and execute test plans (both automated and manual) for new features, perform exploratory testing if necessary
Investigate problems reported by customers, find the core of the bug and figure out a workaround
Verify fixes delivered by development, make sure the fix doesn't break anything
Requirements
- B.S. in computer science, engineering or equivalent
- Strong programming skills, can write well-structured, maintainable code – ideally in Java (or willing to switch to Java in short time)
- Experience with web application development or test automation (preferably frontend)
- Very good understanding of JavaScript, HTML and CSS including modern client side frameworks
- Organized and reliable, attentive to detail, able to efficiently manage multiple tasks
- Excellent communication skills in English
We’ll highly appreciate if you are familiar with
- Quality Assurance – that’s what we do anyway
- SQL - you’ll soon find out it is handy even on the presentation tier
- Karma & Jasmine – it is our next big thing in test engineering
- Selenium WebDriver, Selenium Grid or any other browser based automation technology – ideally hands on experience
- Continuous integration tools like TeamCity
- Test case management systems like Polarion QA
- proprietary UI framework based on experience and deep analysis of React, Angular and Vue
- resembles React.js, there's more control over rendering and less automagic
- API is oriented on java developers, similar to Ext
- control over direction of development of the framework, ability to react on internal requirements

As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will design, install and evaluate quality control methods and systems. Design continuing maintenance of product quality. Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance and methods.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. A of 1 year of software engineering or related experience.
