Your Role and Responsibilities
Software License Compliance is the process of ensuring that our customers comply with the terms of IBM’s software license agreements. As a compliance manager for this process, you are responsible for leading complex negotiations to closure with senior customer management. Possession of a clear understanding of IBM’s software licensing models and contract terms is also key. You must equally be able to provide leadership and co-ordination of the extended IBM sales team, working within internal IBM Matrix: Client teams, software sales representatives, legal, accounting, and pricing to advance settlements, to deliver positive customer experience and IBM revenue recognition within IBM’s business conduct guidelines and controls.Responsibilities:
- Conduct software license reviews on customers, with the help of our auditor partners
- Manage end-to-end lifecycle of the report generation process with auditor partners
- Reviewing audit report with auditors and customers and finalize license position
- Directly negotiate with customer senior management (often C-level) to achieve speedy and effective agreement and closure of reported license exposures
- Manage & mediate customer dispute
- Deliver license review KPIs
- Work with the IBM client sales teams to line up reviews as part of territory planning exercise
- Managing relationships with independent auditors
- Manage, report and deliver on a forecast pipeline
Required
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- At least 8 years experience in Sales management and engagement, or,
- At least 8 years experience in IT solutions project delivery and project management
- At least 5 years experience in Sales negotiations
- At least 5 years experience in Sales management disciplines
- At least 5 years experience in applying and aligning to a company’s Mission/Vision/Strategy
- Good command in written and spoken English is a must
- Additional language capabilities – Bahasa / Mandarin is an added advantage
