Your Role and Responsibilities

Do you want to work with top AI researchers to change the way computers and devices interact with people?
 
We are looking for a hands-on creative software engineer, that will work with us to develop prototypes, demos and software modules, to demonstrate and deliver research innovations.
 
At the IBM Research speech technologies team, our mission is to create the next generation of spoken interaction systems, using innovative speech and language AI technologies delivered on the cloud.

The student will implement small scale systems, based on a broad range of software tools, for example:

• Web services and web client/servers, including real-time (stream processing)
• Python
• JavaScript, C++
• GUI, mainly in web environments
• Linux & Windows environments
• Cloud environment including Docker containers.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Computer science, computer engineering and electrical engineering students- with at least 3 semesters left.
Experience in one or more of the following:

• Web services and web client/servers, including real-time (stream processing)
• Python
• JavaScript, C++
• GUI, mainly in web environments
• Linux & Windows environments
• Cloud environment including Docker containers.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

Knowledge in signal processing or machine learning is an advantage.
