We are searching for a Solution Architect to develop and lead complex solutions for our Telecoms Service Provider Customers.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a 5G and Cloud-native environment. As an Oracle Communications Solution Architect, you will work with the Project Managers on the implementation plan and work with our customers to determine the high-level implementation plan.

You will follow through from initial planning, and deployment to go-live and will work closely with a small team of engineers. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage priorities and solve problems are vital for this role.

You should be prepared for frequent travel across EMEA once it is permitted to do so.

An experienced consulting professional with a broad understanding of telecom solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. Due to the remote nature of the role, you will need to be able to operate independently.

What you'll do 

• Determine Telecom Operator’s needs.
• Identifying business and technical issues.
• Research for 5G solutions to address needs and issues.
• Work closely with Product Management, R&D, Sales, worldwide Consulting Sales and Delivery leads and Solution architects.
• Participate in 5G Program X-Functional (E.g., Product Management, R&D, Sales, Consulting) initiatives.
• Provide feedback on the quality of deliverables.
• Participate in business development and pre-sales activities.

What you'll bring 

• Excellent understanding of Telecom Networks
• 5+ years of experience in the Telecommunications space.
• Understanding of the hyper scale cloud providers features and capabilities related to Telecom Network.
• Experience in assisting leadership team to evaluate, design and develop overall solution strategy
• Knowledge of industry best practices for designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure and service availability throughout the system life cycle
• Proven experience in business use case developments and/or proposal development
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments
• Ability to work over different time zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of  5G, analytics within network space (AI/ML), OSS, Platforms/Tools, Cloud & DevOps, Edge Computing
• Experience and active participation in Telco  network transformation programs
• Experience in Project/Program Management
• Knowledge and experience in the delivery of Cloud based solutions
• Experience in activities such as Executive Presentation, Client Interviewing, Business Case development.

As a recognized authority and leading contributor within their practice, this senior-level consulting position provides consistent high quality and innovative solution leadership to a project team. Leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.

Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack.

8-10 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience. Prior team leadership or management experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to travel as needed.
