Job Description:

The Solution Engineering Specialist is a hands-on role focused on assisting Oracle customer implement best practices to maximize the value of Oracle License Products and Oracle Cloud. This is a customer interactive facing role that is accountable for:

• End-to-end customer cloud and on premise solutioning
• Solution Design & Architecture
• Proposal Preparation
• Building Repeatable Cloud Solution Demonstrations
• Performing Proof of Concepts (POCs) and Proof of Technology (POTs) with clients
• Delivering hands-on workshops

The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and implementing workloads on premise and clouds including distributed applications and established success leading deep technical architecture/ application design discussions with customer.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver an outstanding customer experience remotely using digital tools
• Deliver customer presentations & demos highlighting the value of Oracle’s Cloud solution addressing customer’s requirements
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and expertise in Oracle PaaS and IaaS Services
• Develop customer-specific value propositions highlighting benefits and differentiators of Oracle
• Build and deliver compelling customer demonstrations, proof of concepts and proof of technologies to contribute to customer success
• Represent Oracle at online technology marketing and broader social community events
• Collaborate on customer opportunities with Oracle Sales, Sales Consulting and Product Management communities

Desired Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of work experience in any combination of engineering, product management and consulting with increasing responsibilities
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms is a must
• Working knowledge of ETL process in Data Warehouse and real time change data capture
• Working knowledge of big data processing and data streaming concept and tools (e.g., Spark and Airflow)
• Familiar with data integration tools and services (e.g., Oracle Data Integrator, IBM DataStage, Informatica, Microsoft SSIS, Attunity, Spark Streaming)
• Good experience with Hive, Spark SQL
• Proven ability in performing rapid assessments of clients’ internal technology landscape and targeting use cases and deployment targets
• Exposure to Oracle Data Integration products (e.g., Oracle Data Integrator, EDQ, Oracle Golden Gate, OCI-DI) is preferred
• Good knowledge on data quality & data governance is desired
