Job Description

Responsibilities: 

·         Controllership of US GAAP obligations including leading, balance sheet reconciliations & preparation of US GAAP to local GAAP reconciliations etc.

·         Controllership of Statutory audit obligations including the preparation of financial statements of Oracle subsidiaries, driving the audit & ensuring compliance with local requirements.

·         Complete Tax PBCs lists, transfer pricing templates and tax questionnaires for income tax provision and tax return preparation for entities.  Liaise with Tax dept and external advisors in this regard.

·         Complete non-tax factual development templates for entities.

·         Review legal documents in relation to integration steps for acquired entities and ensure correctly reflected for local statutory purposes

·         Prepare dissolution steps for entities and provide support in managing entities for dissolution

·         Collaborate with internal departments in Oracle and with external consultants on dissolution of entities

·         Prepare documentation to support purchase order be set up for services and deal with any supplier queries etc

·         Create/maintain trackers for entities to monitor the audit/accounts deliverables, integration/dissolution of acquired entities etc

·         Continually improve operational excellence by partnering with Oracle Global Finance Organisation.

·         Collaborate cross-functionally with internal global stakeholders including Tax, Treasury and Legal to mitigate risk to the enterprise.

·         Due diligence and execution of acquisition accounting and on-going compliance for Mergers & Acquisitions/Simplification

·         Contribute to the global execution of key Global strategic initiatives & projects.

Maintain general accounting systems, policies, and procedures to ensure that proper information is reported in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

As a member of the finance division, you will assist in accounting functions which may include general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and inter-company transactions. Maintain the general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, analysis, reconciliation and reporting. Maintain and implement general accounting systems. Conduct account reconciliation periodically, ledger close activities, and provide accurate financial data to support management in decision making. Develop and prepare financial reports including profit and loss, income and balance sheet statements. Review and analyze inter-company transactions. Ensure all journal entries comply with internal and external audit specifications. Participate in the ongoing development and maintenance of internal procedures and processes. May participate in special projects.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Strong analytical, prioritization and communication skills in partnering with other internal groups and management. Familiarity with Excel spreadsheets is essential. Familiarity with Oracle Financials is essential. 5 years accounting experience and BA/BS degree in Accounting or equivalent. Some positions need you to be bilingual in English and Spanish or Portuguese.
