Job summary
The Manufacturing Test and Infrastructure Engineering Manager at eero is responsible for the testing and data that proves every eero manufactured is a good product. Your role starts from concept to determine test coverage, limits, budgets, and execution. The scope requires technical expertise in manufacturing consumer electronics that are based on RF wireless technologies. You help ensure every eero customer receives a delightful good device. You are responsible to work with HW Engineering and Manufacturing Operations organizations to define, lead, and own all activities related to factory test development, characterization, and infrastructure engineering from the concept phase to high volume production. You will manage the process for software handoff to the factory. You are responsible for testing and infrastructure strategy that encompasses the eero device portfolio for both production facilities and RMA facilities. You are the technical lead to drive factory improvements that help improve bottom line (yield improvement, cycle time reduction, automation).
Key job responsibilities
Lead eero’s manufacturing test team
-Manages eero manufacturing test strategy across NPI, Sustaining, and RMA.
-Owns the Manufacturing Yield data pipeline
-Stands up data infrastructure at all factories maintains the factory
-Lead the MTE SW team to build factory test software
Escalation point for factory test
-Manage test budget by product line
-Lead and execute testing at RMA locations
-Own test metrics, test plans, test reports, and test data
-Drives design for test requirements between manufacturer and design engineering.
-Lead factory automation projects for test
-Support design for automation for new programs
-Drive technical factory improvements
-Monitor manufacturing test metrics to ensure smooth factory performance
-Triage and root-cause test related issues
-Manage process for software handoff to factory
Build and lead Technical Program Manager (“TPM”) organization
-Leads the TPM and team to drive to RCCA for factory technical issues during NPI
-Creates and executes strategic manufacturing improvements for scale and cost
-Drives improvement for factory yields
Lead eero’s strategy, budget and execution for manufacturing data infrastructure
-Manage a team to deploy and maintain the data infrastructure required for factory data
-Lead maintenance and upgrade plans to align to Info Security requirements
Core product through new product introduction
-Test readiness for NPI at factory (EVT, DVT, PVT) and ongoing qualification management
-Owner for eero’s manufacturing line – primary contact point for CM to coordinate, define, and resolve any capacity and technical production issues on the line.
-Engage in process definition on production line flow, layout, UPH to optimize for eero production goals.
-Develop rapport with supplier partners and detailed knowledge of "how the factory works" its capabilities and limitations.
-Support coverage in region with travel up to 2 trips per quarter to Vietnam to drive issue resolution and/or support build/ramp activities
