Senior Global Technical Sales Consultant
Preferred Qualifications
The successful candidate provides product and solutions strategies to our hotel customers, including ideal deployment methods, configuration and application use. Serve as a subject matter expert to the customer and internally serve as the liaison to the consulting, support, development and cloud organizations on specific projects. Only candidates with OPERA experience as superusers will be given consideration. Designs, validates and present product solutions and concepts. Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations, demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.
As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective hotel chain clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develops product/project strategy for assigned accounts. Reviews and validates solutions that will meet customer requirements. Defines requirements, scope of work, solution design, implementation and training. Deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgement. The following demonstrated skills must be outlined in career experience\:
• Excellent knowledge and passion for hospitality applications, integrations and related technologies
• Strong superuser understanding of OPERA
• Created product collateral and sales tools such as articles, data sheets, white papers, blogs, how-to videos, demos, etc.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and to work independently
• Ability to communicate at varying levels of technical detail with customer, business partners, Global Account team, sales, support and engineering staffs, in one-on-one and group situations
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgement. May have project lead role. 5 year vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in on multi-user operating system. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communications skills\: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. SQL skills, running queries, reviewing tables and log files and a hunger for investigation will aid in your job responsibilities. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.

Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills\: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
