Description
  • Lead, train and motivate a team of Sales Managers and Key Account Managers covering ‘product portfolio’ and ensure they achieve the required sales targets and product mix within the given territories.

  • Develop strong working relationships with all the key decision-makers and medical society leaders and stakeholders within the customer base and ensure that a positive environment is maintained for the promotion and sales of all Edwards' products. Develop relationships at senior purchasing and 'Chief Executives' in China nationally.

  • Partner with cross functional teams (e.g. supply chain, channel management, marketing, compliance, finance) to identify potential issues and propose solutions to meet the sales objectives of the organization

  • Define and agree on sales targets and overall goals for team, including setting PMOs and determining bonus achievement for sales team

  • Develop national strategy to implement a robust talent acquisition and development plan in alignment with functional growth strategies of the department.

  • Develop distributor strategy, map out network and provide high-level support to distributor management. May identify, evaluate and select distributors to partner with EW, then manage and evaluate their performance and make recommendations on continued partnership with the distributor

  • Determine territory assignments and sales deployment. Partner with other functions (e.g. marketing) to set BU growth strategy and long-term objectives for sales team.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree or equivalent in related field.

  • Proven successful management and leadership skills

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite

  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives

  • Ability to read, write and speak English

  • Ability to move within China

  • Strong understanding of sales products and procedures while addressing issues with impact beyond own team based on knowledge of related disciplines

  • Requires in-depth knowledge and experience across multiple functions and within the industry and related industries

  • Healthcare compliance / product compliance

  • Extensive product / market / industry knowledge

  • Extensive understanding of cardiovascular anatomy (HVT), pathology and physiology (HVT & CC) relevant to EW medical products as it relates to the business

  • Extensive understanding of the clinical value and application of Edwards products, and ability to articulate values to customers

  • Knowledge of financial mechanism that relates to product sales and impact to P&L

  • Extensive understanding of Business Acumen, Marketing planning, KOL Management, Dealer Management, Product & Clinical Knowledge, Data Analysis, Coaching for improvement/ development

  • Strict attention to detail

  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization

  • Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment

  • Frequently interacts with customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company; often leads a cooperative effort among members of a project team

  • Participate and present at meetings with internal and external representatives
