Storyteller - Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) - Oracle Demo Strategy



The Demo Strategy team in Oracle is hiring and we are looking for a Storyteller to join our group. The Demo Strategy team creates stories for our customers showing how Oracle’s solutions and industry-leading technology can be combined to transform our customer’s business. Simply put, you will be helping some of the largest and most recognizable companies solve some of their most strategic problems by using your passion for innovation & creativity. What does a storyteller do?

  • You can write! And, you must have the creative gene. Most important, you can tell a compelling story
  • You can work in a team and work with people from different backgrounds to bring a story together
  • A storyteller is a person who takes all the thoughts and ideas being discussed and brings them to life in a narrative; you see the value and make it clear for the listener
  • The ERP storyteller focuses on how an organization manages traditional back-office solutions including Financials, Procurement, Enterprise Performance, Order Management, Project Portfolio Management, and others; you should be aware of the steps in between and be passionate about how technology can help firms help their staff

Preferred Skills and Experience

 

Our storytellers come from all kinds of professional backgrounds (business, engineering, management, science, legal, sales & marketing, human resources, and operations - just to mention a few!). A good storyteller have deep industry / professional experience. A storyteller is passionate, articulate, and has a strong point of view - you will be our voice. The ideal candidate enjoy working with others to create our stories.  You will be a “creative person” and aware of the power of storytelling in driving sales.  

 

Specifically, you will have the experience described below:

  • Passion for and the ability to meet customer needs
  • A keen interest in modern trends across a number of technology areas
  • Product and market experience in using or selling front and back office solutions including Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, SAP, NetSuite, Epicor, Sage, and/or Oracle
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork skills.  Able to network and collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams in an effective manner.
  • Clearly demonstrate customer-centric design thinking and approach
  • This individual will have a strong focus on ownership and execution and is comfortable in working in a start-up-like environment.
  • This individual is enthusiastic, high-energy, and motivating to those around them, and can lead innovation and creativity for those around them

Education

Minimum a business-focused Bachelor’s degree or professional accounting qualification is preferred.  An advanced degree is a plus.

Development and implementation of business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for a product/service or vertical market.

As a product analyst you will participate in every stage of the product life cycle to ensure product meets the needs of users. Drive the implementation of programs in support of the marketing strategy, business plans, and forecasts for assigned product lines. Maintains current status of customer specifications for existing and future products. Identify, evaluate, and recommend marketing opportunities in support of product line objectives. Drive product functionality delivering high quality product documentation. Lead products through scheduled release assisting others to manage commitments and resources. Measure and report progress and review deliverables.

Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Provides leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Demonstrated product/project management experience. Ability to work with Executives. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Demonstrated product/project management experience. Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic. Team player. Experience using or implementing Oracle, SAP, or Peoplesoft applications. Basic HTML and web technology skills a plus. BA/BS/MBA degree.
