Job Description

GraalVM is an open source research project at Oracle Labs aiming to develop new language execution technology to make programs run faster and developers more productive. Its ambition is to be the future of the JVM. Using new research approaches, it leads to great performance improvements and opens the door to fast programs running in a single process while being written in multiple languages.

The GraalVM compiler is at the core of the GraalVM project. The goal of this project is to build a fuzz-testing environment for the Graal compiler to conduct basic differential correctness testing. This will involve taking an existing program, mutate it using approaches such as classming and then execute it on various JVM implementations to look for different output that may indicate a bug. A stretch goal would be to use another mutation algorithm such as EMI-based mutation as well as incorporate use feedback-driven mutation.
