Summary:
Supply Quality Manager strives to be the leader in supplier quality management and ability to scale to support Amazon Kindle’s engagement from CM (contract manufacturing to ODM (original design manufacturer). Key responsibilities include developing approved Suppliers for Mass Production of high quality parts. Manage suppliers in Mass Production to continuously produce high quality parts consistently, with improvement in yield quarter to quarter. Qualify and bring-up of new suppliers to support increased capacity and/or new programs (addressing all aspects of supplier process readiness).
The roles will be responsible for leading team to support mechanical parts which needs strong component qualification experience, statistical data analysis and decision making competency.

  • Conceives, proposes, and sells new ideas, strategies, or concepts, and guides those projects to completion. Their responsibility extends to not only superior project execution, but also to extending their work to other areas of the site/company where applicable and valuable.
  • Makes and takes responsibility for decisions that have wide-impact. They take responsibility for the decisions and the impact their work has on cross functional operations teams, customer experiences and business groups.
  • Drive discussion across the organization and consider the implications of their work within the scope of the company. They are respected leaders in the quality community.
  • Oversee the planning process and delegation across teams and/or departments.
Operation Excellent
  • Make well-informed decisions that positively impact the customer experience and ensure those decisions are executed in a scalable and extensible manner.
  • Interact with or lead cross functional operations / quality teams across the company.
  • Anticipates potential problems, identifies and resolves performance issues and problems that affect the reliability, manufacturability, or availability of components.
  • Use data to drive quality improvements back to design and manufacturing organizations for current and future products.
  • Lead operations and quality teams to rapidly assess and correct major product/process issues. Dive into and take ownership for critical quality issues.
  • Lead operations reviews. Participate in cross functional reviews.
  • Strategize with Global Commodity Managers in the development of new suppliers or existing suppliers of new components to improve reliability and quality.
  • Optimize communication protocol with suppliers, Global Commodity Managers, and other internal teams on appropriate issues and improvements.
  • Address all aspects of supplier readiness, including manufacturability.
  • Partner with suppliers to understand root cause of issues and drive corrective actions.

System Development
· Support and Develop Data Infrastructure to ensure end to end deliverables, Proactive engagement, and Product, Supplier chain health
· Align PDP, Improve Processes that enable team effectiveness
