As a Supplier Quality Manager, you will work closely with hardware engineers, product managers, contract manufacturers, original device manufacturers (ODMs), and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to get high-quality products built, tested, and released on time. You will coordinate many fast-changing, moving parts and get them to come together as a product. Additionally, you will contribute excellent communication skills and answer questions about schedules, quality, and progress updates. You will be responsible for identifying and managing risks, making sound judgments about quality, and stopping (or speeding up) production at the right time.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead cross functional teams on quality initiatives, take on ambiguity, build consensus, be an outstanding communicator (both written and verbal), and influence at all levels of the company.
- Develop and manage hardware development quality plan with engineering teams and communicate quality status to stakeholders.
- Identify dependencies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute, mitigate risks and issues, and meet system build milestones, quality, and manufacturability.
- Develop and identify the critical characteristics to product and critical processes to quality, collaborate with suppliers to build error proofing manufacturing and special process / product characteristics control mechanisms.
- Initiate, explore and track improvement opportunity of product quality issues at suppliers and experienced by customers. Work with supplier on lean production initiatives, continuous improvement projects execution and new technology / material introduction.
- Calibrate supplier’s quality capability in a suitable cadence, provide fix, growth and exit decision to the stakeholders and leadership.
