Your Role and Responsibilities
You will be responsible to support a large territory of critical IBMi customers. This includes the management, scheduling of and on-site repair of IBM Power system hardware, IBM Disk Storage systems hardware, IBM Tape Storage hardware and system software for these customers. You will be required to work with various teams to ensure that contractual obligations are met during the support and service tasks provided to these customers. You will also be called on to perform various projects including new hardware/system software implementations, upgrades, and modification for customers. Managing the parts ordering, stocking and inventories is also a significant part of this role.
You will primarily work with the TSS Team.
Introduction
System Services Representatives are the primary technical interface to clients for the coordination of hardware and software support and delivery of operational services. Sound pretty important? You will advise clients of preventive maintenance, configuration, operation and environmental factors which may drastically impact product performance or impair the client's IT operation.Required Technical and Professional Expertise
> Holding a bachelor degree from a recognized university> 2+ years of experience specifically in IBMi or similar IT environments
