Job Description
BDG Targeting Analyst

The BDG Targeting Analyst is responsible for the selection and execution of targeting for sales programs to deliver Oracles message and create pipeline for the aligned sales teams. The role is responsible for the overall selection, targeting and preparation of the sales program leads required. The targeting analyst uses Oracles own databases of customers and other sources and targeting models such as AI and Machine learning. 


The targeting analyst holds the key to the productive use of Oracles data to drive Oracle pipeline by pointing them towards customers where Oracle can win, with the right message at the right time.  Importantly the role will use data insights and discipline to drive program targeting and execution to achieve the outcomes expected.  

The candidate would have a sound understanding of how SaaS, PaaS and IaaS decisions are made and what solutions from Oracles portfolio will fit customers needs, whether a start-up or a mature enterprise looking to move to cloud.


Detailed Job Description

  • Overall regional program market planning targeting to meet business goals, aligned to market and sales strategies.
  • Development of a customer targeting strategy to use for program development across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS businesses.
  • Specific planning and targeting of individual programs to achieve business results throughout EMEAR.
  • Identify and apply new targeting models from machine learning and other external sources to get the best results for Oracles business development group.
  • Role includes reporting on the success of targeted programs and learning and re-applying that learning in the next campaign.
 
Skills
  • Strong SQL with any database and related BI tools
  • Ability to define business problems and hypothesis to test to find the right outcomes
  • Skills to respond to briefings and find the right customers with the right marketing message to be successful with maximum conversion rate to opportunity
  • Skills in creating and using segmentation to drive business results
  • Marketing or demand generation skills and experience in B2B brands or B2C with a smaller number of target customers or high value and complex buying decisions.
  • Strong analytical skills to review market trends, sales trends and build insights on where Oracle can win in cloud with our target programs.
  • Marketing or demand generation execution skills and experience in multi-channel integrated program execution.
  • Demand generation reporting and insights driving better performing campaigns.
  • Some experience in development languages (Java), data integration and quality management
Ideal candidates
  • Previous data mining and exploration skills
  • Ideally some experience of AI and Machine learning ion making complex targeting decisions
 
KPI’s
    • Overall performance of campaigns generated for targeting – mostly with conversion rate from target list selected and $ outcome for pipeline generation
    • Efficacy of campaign to target least number of customers to achieve result without wasted effort.
    • Campaign output to timeline to meet quarterly objectives
 
 
 
 
!|!Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization*s financial and tactical business objectives. Provides business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes.

Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Attention to detail critical. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. Relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible clients desired. 2 plus years relevant work experience.
