Job Description

Key Objective

1.      Working within Advanced Customer Services (ACS) Global Delivery Team in China to deliver designs and other high end services, documentations for customer, deployments of Oracle technology solutions, either in whole within their technology specialism or as part of an overall solution design, thus contributing to customer projects at all stages

2.      To provide whatever Oracle technology related services are necessary to ensure the success of customers' Oracle deployments and as such, any list of "deliverables" is just an indication of what to expect. It is up to the Technical Architect to work with project teams, both Oracle and customer, to ascertain what is required and needed for success, including identifying when others with specific skills should be engaged.

3.      Developing sets of standard or innovative deliverables to customers in managing and maintaining environments based on Oracle Database.

4.      Assisting Oracle ACS strategic customers to maximize the stability, availability and performance of their critical business systems

 

Responsibilities

 

1.      Technical Architect is a role that encompasses broad technical knowledge with an area of specialty in one or more Oracle technologies, blended with an array of soft skills that together ensure the individual is a key contributor to and influencer of customer projects.

2.      Technical Architect will be concerned with the production planning of customer implementations of Oracle technology to ensure that optimum benefit is realized and best practices are maintained.

3.      Provide specific technical guidance to Oracle and customer project team members leading to successful project delivery. Guide customers in leveraging Oracle Technologies appropriately and used to resolve issues that have cross project or solution scope.

4.      Responsible for taking care named ACS key strategic customers in each region (eg. Top Banking).

5.      Working closely with ACS Sales and delivery teams as necessary to promote the use of ACS and in support of specific deals, helping to ensure customer goals can be met and the ACS organization is exposed to minimal risk.

6.      Deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs, and also you are expected to be highly skilled in solving extremely complex (often previously unknown), critical customer issues.

7.      Develop high quality, innovative, standard deliverables and methods to promote efficient service deliver.

8.      Responsible for research and respond to technical enquiries from customers and Oracle internal. Facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues.

9.      Contribute continuous development to the team.

10.   Directly report to ACS Global Delivery China head.

 

Qualifications

1.      Bachelors Level University Degree or a relevant and equivalent qualification with a minimum of 10 years of technology experience including multiple Oracle technologies.

2.      10 years interacting with customer representatives at all levels, including senior, possibly C level.

3.      Available to work in 24X7 capability.

4.      PM and Team lead experience is required

5.      Expert knowledge of Oracle Database, Goldengate, Exadata, Oracle RAC, Oracle ASM, Data guard, Backup & Recovery, Migration etc

6.      Strong DBA skills and relevant working experience with Oracle Database from 11g to 19C

7.      Strong Performance tuning skills – Query level tuning / DB tuning / Memory level tuning

8.      Experience implementing MAA high availability features of Oracle Database.

9.      Experience in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 11g/12c/13c is a plus.

10.   Knowledge on DB Security viz. AVDF, DB Vault, Oracle Key Vault, e-Wallet, TDE would be added advantage.

11.   Proven Experience in Oracle Data Warehouse is a plus

12.   Sharp technical troubleshooting skills with strong analytical skills.

13.   Experienced on working with global team.

14.   Experience with Virtualization ,Docker and Cloud (Public or Private) environment

15.   Experience with Python development, GIT repos, etc

16.   Fluent in English and Mandarin is essential

17.   Usually candidate for the job role should be very experienced senior principle technical analyst (IC5), but Candidate with high potential with proven excellent on leading big project and excellent working records will also be considered as Assistant Technical Architect (IC4).

!|!As a member of the Support organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as, technical questions regarding the use of and troubleshooting for our Electronic Support Services. A primary point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and escalated issues.

As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will interface with the customer*s IT staff on a regular basis. Either at the client*s site or from a remote location, you will be responsible for resolution of moderately complex technical problems related to the installation, recommended maintenance and use and repair/workarounds for Oracle products. You should be highly experienced in some Oracle products and several platforms that are being supported. You will be expected to work with only general guidance from management while advising management on progress/status.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Because of substantial customer interfacing, a demonstrated ability to work with customers on an independent basis with exceptional communication skills, while consistently achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction is essential. A Bachelor*s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience is preferred with five years related experience. Experience with Oracle*s core products, applications, and tools is important.!|!
