Job Description

The primary role of the Technical Program Manager is to lead, plan, direct and evaluate the programs development cycle from beginning to end, including technical and educational programs, as well as nonprofit grant proposals. You will work with cross functional teams to promote and drive awareness and adoption of Developer services.

Interests may be as broad as learning how to leverage cloud environments, specific like developing an IoT application that connects to a cluster of Arduino clients, to testing the performance benefits of building production application using the GraalVM AOT compiler. The continued goal is to generate awareness within the developer community that Oracle Cloud is a great choice to learn, experiment, prototype, and host production grade applications - and ultimately influence individual developers to become advocates for the Oracle Cloud.

In this role you will lead a company-wide Global developer initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive the Developer programs, by defining desired outcomes, monitoring objectives, communicating goals and roadmap priorities.
  • Understand and obsess about Oracle Cloud Infrastructure technology.
  • Showcase Oracle cloud as a great place to learn, get technical help, access new and trending technologies, prototyping new ideas, test existing projects, and host production grade applications.
  • Engage developers honestly at every stage in their careers, from students to seasoned professionals.
  • Provide a central hub that highlights Oracle as helpful, developer friendly partner that offers compelling technologies and environments that help further their knowledge and experience in the technical domains of interest.
  • Drive improvements to the content experience by collaborating with OCI engineering and Product teams.

Qualifications

  • +6 years of experience managing technical programs and delivery
  • +2 years of experience planning, building and operating Educational programs.
  • +2 years of experience using Cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI)
  • Experience using developer tools like Git/GitHub, VS Code is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Hand on experience with Developer technologies is preferred.
  • Passionate about learning and teaching all levels, from Kids up to Business Schools.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Ten or more years of project management, product design or related experience needed.
