Technical Program Manager – Data Products
- Responsible for project managing the implementation and operations of various data products such as Data Catalog and Data ETL Service, working in partnership with technical teams
- Collect and align with Data Engineering & Data Science team on data acquisition and pipeline requirements.
- Manage relationship with internal project and product teams to continually identify appropriate data assets while understanding the business concepts behind the data
- Collect, grow and maintain the data assets from different groups into a new data catalog and data repository
- Design, oversee and continuously enhance the governance of the data products through data models, meta data, data retention policy, etc
- Work with technical team to manage storage, refresh, and ETL service of the data products
- Identify, build and document functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and priorities for data product user experiences
- Support/build technical documentations such as data product architectures, integration design documents and risk assessments
- Manage the relationship with internal data product software vendors. Communicate and influence our requirements and needs into their roadmaps.
- Socialize the data products within the entire organization
Must have:
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with project management tools (JIRA)
- Experience with databases
- Ability to work some flexible hours due to varying time zones
- Ability to create and maintain technical documentations
Good to have:
- Cloud infrastructure understanding (OCI, AWS, Azure)
- ML understanding
- Understanding with software development methodologies such as Agile and SDLC
- Masters Degree
Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.
Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.
