Creates, develops, plans, writes and edits operational, instructional, maintenance, test or user manuals for paper, multimedia or web-based publications. Contributes to the timely design, production and delivery/completion of product documentation and document sets. As a tech writer, you will design, create and deliver whole product documentation sets and/or related courseware .

Must Have\:

• 4 - 8 years of software engineering or related experience
• Can write/update documentation and online help content for banking products
• Possesses excellent verbal, written, and research skills
• Demonstrates the ability to grapple with and master difficult source material, and be flexible to manage changing deadlines and priorities
• Is able to write for a wide variety of audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge
• Demonstrates the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

 

As a technical writer in the product, you will\: - Research and understand the needs for a product and perform documentation design . Write clearly, concisely, and accurately using correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation following the guidelines and standards in the Oracle Style Guide (OSG). Verify documentation through hands-on testing (as/if required)

 

Technical and Tools Knowledge - Exposure to standard documentation tools, including Adobe FrameMaker (experience with Structured FrameMaker is a plus, though not mandatory) .

Soft Skills -

• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Possess good planning and organization skills
• Experience working with cross-functional global teams, including developers, and peers in remote locations
• Ability to work on multiple deliverables simultaneously

As a member of the technical writing division, you will design, create and deliver whole product documentation sets and/or related courseware. Edit, organize and direct the work activities of other technical writers and staff. Plan the format, arrange the layout of publications and edit work for conformance to publication standards and specifications.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.!|!
