Job Description

 

Responsibilities\:

·       Ownership of pipeline contribution and key performance metrics and objectives relating to Oracle solutions in the LAD OD SPA region.

·       Lead and develop a high performing team of Business Development Consultants (BDC’s) to become internal experts and thought leaders in clusters strategy.

·       Build and foster strong business relationships across Sales and Marketing organisations to align goals and working practices.

·       Optimise and continually drive excellence in the use of digital and omni-channel engagement tactics to create positive relationships with Oracle’s most significant prospect accounts.

·       Own team enablement to build and maintain best practices in persona engagement and opportunity development.

·       Coach and develop the Business Development Team.

·       Oracle Business Development Group ambassador and advocate for OD strategy.

Required Skills/Experience

·       Experience of effectively building and developing high performing teams in a B2B environment, though not essential.

·       Experience of the end to end B2B sales process.

·       Understanding of the techniques used to engage and influence audiences via digital platforms.

·       Strong stakeholder management with experience of effectively collaborating with internal stakeholders to plan and successfully execute customer related activity. 

·       Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Applications products will be useful, though not essential.

·       Agile and happy to continually adapt to change.

·       Always looking to raise the bar of own and your team skills/competencies development.

·       Excellent communication skills, able to articulate messages very clearly.

·       Customer focus\: you won’t be satisfied until the job is done to the right quality for our customers.

 

 

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

 

The primary focus of a Business Development Consultant is to generate demand for Oracle solutions and services through a mix of inbound calls and outbound prospecting within an assigned territory or vertical, also generate synergy among the members of their cluster in order to achieve common goals.

Manages a team of telesales business development representatives for a territory/region. Provides daily operations management of inbound and outbound call response and lead qualification functions. Creates product, sales, and business function training programs. Coordinates marketing (direct mail, advertising, etc.) activities with Marketing organizations. Responsible for coaching, performance management, and career development of staff. Participates in the recruiting process and provides hiring recommendations to senior management. Manages budget. Provides support to marketing and sales programs.

Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Experience qualifying prospects and customers and an understanding of the sales cycle process. Experience training professional sales staff, University degree. Previous management experience. Successful sales track record. Strong Oracle product knowledge preferred 3 years sales experience.
