The Role:
As a Hardware Touch Field Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to design and manufacture innovative consumer products. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team, and outside partners to drive key aspects of touch system manufacturing, touch system tuning and performance testing. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. In this role, you will:

· Serve as the first point of contact for touch components factory manufacturing process for various products at a time through the majority of product life cycle, from prototype creation to mass-production support
· Manage the technical relationship with display and touch vendors as well as internal team to deliver display-touch components to the required specification and schedule
· Perform hands-on bring-up, testing and troubleshooting of touch subsystems and display assemblies and associated control electronics
· Function as a subject matter expert on touch technology by providing up-to-date, accurate information to colleagues and management
· Travel to supplier and contract manufacturer sites world-wide to support product development activities (40% - 50% travel)
