The Customer Experience (CX) team at Oracle are building a new team in Dublin to enable our SaaS components to provide the most interactive, richest experience possible for our customers. We are looking for highly creative individuals to help us build and maintain the next generation of modern CX Service applications that will enable Oracle to leap ahead of the competition and become the number one cloud vendor.

 

As a UX Design Intern, 

• We'll embed you with a team that defines and designs user interfaces, systems, and interaction, design patterns.
• We will provide you with a mentor who will work with you through your internship.
• You will be part of a cross functional team, gaining exposure to multiple parts of the business, working on real projects.
• You will have the opportunity to gain a wealth of knowledge and experience as you work alongside our highly skilled UX designers.  

 

Responsibilities  

This role includes but is not limited to the following deliverables: 

• Design beautifully thought out, simplified and useful software user interfaces and experiences. 
• Understand complex workflows and turn these into clear interface experiences.
• Design workflows, wireframes, and high-fidelity mockups that promote ease of use and optimize how customers interact with our products.
• Be a passionate and effective advocate for the customers/users, and solve their problems with simple and engaging design solutions
• Contribute to maintaining and evolving our centralized design system.

 

 

 Basic Qualifications 

• You have or are pursuing a qualification in UX Design, Visual Design, Product Design, Graphic Design or another multimedia/technology-related field (other degrees are considered when accompanied by an aptitude in design) 
• Experience working in design tools such as Figma, Sketch etc.
• A creative portfolio of work demonstrating your skills, study plans, reports etc.
• Ability to present your idea to stakeholders in design, product management, and engineering, and incorporate feedback into the design cycle.
• Proactive self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and capable of communicating and prototyping design concepts at different levels of fidelity
• Curiosity and willingness to learn
• Empathy for the user and obsession with customer

 

Preferred Qualifications  

• Visual design expertise demonstrated through mockups and style guides  
• Experience in designing cross platform experiences  
• Knowledge of design principles to make easy-to-use, pleasurable designs.
• Previous project experience in design would be an advantage. 
• Understanding of HTML/CSS
