GROW WITH US

Life is complicated enough, business doesn't have to be. Cutting through the complexity is what we do and love.

Do you have what it takes to help us improve the lives of over 18,000 customers? We are the world's number one cloud business software suite and we're rapidly growing our product development hubs around the world.

We solve serious challenges, but we're far from serious. Sounds like you? Come grow with us!

YOUR PROFILE

What we need from you\:

We’re looking for a talented UX Manager to join our Experience Design Team in Montevideo, Uruguay.

We’re looking for a people-oriented leader that is highly adaptive; a person ready to facilitate, inspire or lead, depending on the project and people. You should have extensive experience creating designs, working with user researchers, and hashing out final deliverables with product managers, engineers, and upper management.

Focusing on building our Commerce Applications, you will strengthen our ability to deliver a consistent design experience for our product teams. You will be a key motivator and will take our Commerce Applications to the next level by defining key strategies and process with stakeholders.

Working with designers and product managers, you will establish best practices, interactions, and design innovative new components for the next generation of Commerce Applications.

Are you capable of translating challenging business problems into simple interaction solutions? Do you have the instinct to design for simplicity? Have you spent time understanding user profiles and tailoring solutions to their workflows? Are you comfortable presenting rationales of your design work and justifying your decisions? Are you willing to work together with fellow designers and collect feedback while moving further ahead?

THE ROLE

What you will be doing\:

  • Lead a small team of designers in a domain within the larger User Experience team.
  • Provide guidance on design process, design feedback and support, and career development.
  • You will be expected to have a strong voice on the product direction and overall strategy and lead as a product owner.
  • Manage the hiring process for sourcing, acquiring and onboarding new employees.
  • You will be mentor and guide to other UX designers in the group.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects of varying timelines, degrees of complexity and scope.
  • Work with the leaders in the User Experience and Product Management teams to implement and improve design processes and achieve company objectives.
  • Hands-on creative problem solving in a cloud-driven enterprise software system.
  • Change the foundation of NetSuite’s design platform as member of the Montevideo design tribe.
  • Work with a multi-disciplined UX team of Designers, User Researchers and Product Managers in a fast-paced, dynamic, agile environment.
  • Produce high-quality design deliverables that communicate design solutions and facilitate discussion.
  • Present design alternatives and effectively communicate rationale and trade-offs.
  • Demonstrate a passion for iteration and being eager to receive feedback.
  • Create non-formulaic solutions and different approaches to varied challenges.
  • Keep communication flowing by bringing feedback from customers to the team and taking team questions back to customers.

ABOUT YOU

What we would like to see\:

  • Degree in Product Design, UX Design, UI Design, Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years working in the field of UX Design. Experience with eCommerce and CMS software a huge plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of proven managerial experience with local/remote team members and employees in a design environment.
  • We need a self-starter who can take a bit of directional input and then take off.
  • Online portfolio demonstrating your problem-solving ability\: problem analysis, personas, scenarios, user journeys, sketches, wireframes, prototypes, task-flows or other relevant design artifacts.
  • A positive and resilient personality. You must be able to embrace feedback and have a desire for continuous iteration and improvement.
  • Analytical and strategic mindset. We privilege that rather than pixel-perfect visual skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work with geographically distributed teams.
  • Front-end design knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience working in Agile Development methodology is a plus.
