Job Description

The Oracle University (OU) VP Global Partners Oracle Guided Learning (OGL) Practice Development is responsible for leading and managing the programs and relationships such that Oracle’s Partners are advocates and champions of the CSS Platform to provide Pre-configured Fusion Applications and Cloud Adoption through the use of OGL. 

The role is focused on leading a team to develop, nurture, and manage the relationship among key Global and Regional Partners, to promote the use of the Pre-configured Fusion Applications to drive a Cloud Excellence model.  The goal will be to establish a Center of Excellence, that will position and delivery the Pre-configured Fusion Application environments and position OGL Premium to drive Cloud Adoption.

The OU VP Global Partners OGL Practice Development should have comprehensive understanding and experience with Cloud Implementation solutions and methodologies, Partner Alliance & Channels, Cloud adoption through OU digital learning and Oracle Guided Learning solutions.  Ideally, the candidate will have relationship management skills and experience in working with System Integrators. Ideally, s/he will be a creator, builder and analyzer – someone who instinctively analyzes the business strategy and is able to link implementation outcomes to improve the Partners’ ability to deliver on its strategy.

Specifically, s/he should have the experience as described below:

  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with Cloud implementations and Modern Best Practices to support a solution driven Partner approach that leads to the accelerated implementation of Fusion Applications.
  • Knowledge of OGL and DAP solutions, modern learning approaches and best practices. Able to identify opportunities for the Partner to improve cloud adoption / implementation success.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork skills. Able to easily build trust and rapport with internal and Partner executives.
  • The ability to positively contribute to the Partner ecosystem to improve the renewal and retention of Fusion Applications customers through the successful deployment and adoption and of Oracle Cloud Applications.
Customizes and delivers education services to external customers.

The Delivery VP is responsible for delivery of departmental results through successful direction and management of staff and resources, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. Also responsible for the fiscal management of their business area, the development of annual budgets, weekly forecasts and overall expense management. Establishes and communicates departmental objectives and oversees plans to assure attainment. Develops and manages to approved budget, ensures proper utilization of resources and authorizes departmental expenditures. Participates in the strategic planning function for the delivery organization. Recommends strategies and improvement ideas to senior management.

Assists in the creation of division strategy and consults with senior management in providing direction to ensure growth and financial success. Ensures a consistent approach of organizational policies and procedures. Masters Degree or equivalent experience preferred. Has 8 plus years of experience teaching adult learners. Has 12 plus years of industry experience, including 8 plus years of technical or professional experience (education preferred) in addition to 7 plus years of experience in a management or other leadership role.
