Job Description

Virtual Events Project Manager

SCOPE:

 

· Manages and supports planning, implementation and execution of the live and online central event execution including demand generation, reporting and web presence

· Meets with various internal groups to understand event objectives and supports project management of central event deliverables to support the field execution

· Liaises with other EMEA Mktg Operations Team Members, Digital Demand Generation team members, Corporate Marketing functions and External Agencies

 

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Plan, coordinate and deliver event project management in accordance central event strategy and calendar

· Monitor and coordinate event timelines

· Work with event stakeholders to scope requirements, launch, and maintain central event series sites, and implement changes throughout the event lifecycle

· Support updates to event budgets, contracts and reports as neccessary

· Act as a professional consultant offering guidance, creative solutions, and assistance to various Oracle departments on all back office aspects of the event processes

· Identify areas of opportunity to improve speed of execution or potential risks to the business

· Anticipate issues and keep project team on-track at all times

· Maps and analyses processes and produces suitable documentation

· Job duties are varied and can be complex utilizing independent judgment

 

REQUIREMENTS:

· Previous experience in a similar position is highly preferred. Ideally, some knowledge/experience in event and conference management

· Expert level of project management with a proven track record. Formal project management certification (Agile, PMP, Prince2 etc.) is highly preferred

· Good interpersonal and communication skills to Senior director level

· Very well-organised and structured, ability to prioritize and multitask

· Strong attention to detail

· Customer and results oriented

· Flexibility to operate in a matrix structure with a good level of business engagement experience

· Very good computer skills (MS Office, especially Powerpoint, Excel and MS Project)

· Fluent English is a must

Performs non-technical project completion using an internal customer perspective, typically from initiation through delivery.

Develops project plans and coordinates cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activity which bring distinct, specific projects to completion both on time and within budget.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex; independent judgment needed. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Prefer 5 years of project management or related experience.
