Job Description

Your Role and Responsibilities

Provide research and client support as part of a team that delivers health care information and consulting services to government or commercial clients.  
  • Perform reviews of health research literature and summarize relevant information as directed by Research Leader.  
  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and delivery of sensitive data files.
  • Perform data quality reviews to verify that specific data restrictions have been applied.
  • Interface with external stakeholders to ensure that the project maintains high-quality relationships with stakeholders.
  • Draft background sections of client deliverables and project proposals as directed by Research Leader
  • Format deliverables for client presentations (reports, technical memoranda, posters, podium presentations, and manuscripts).
  • Attend to daily office activities, such as email correspondence with external stakeholders and the burning of external data media (CDs, USB, external hard drive) and delivery of data to the client.
  • Work closely with project team members (Programmer/Analysts, Research Leaders, Research Assistants, and Statisticians) to complete research projects that will meet clients’ needs.
  • Assist with the development and documentation of file specification and analytical results.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Associate in Arts degree with 5 + years experience or Bachelor’s degree with 1 to 3 years experience
  • 2 to 3 years previous healthcare industry and/or quantitative work experience related to health research highly desirable.  Relevant graduate degree may substitute for work experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with individuals at various levels within the organization and external clients.
  • Good critical thinking, questioning, and listening skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated quantitative abilities
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Time management skills for managing multiple tasks simultaneously, while completing work within allocated time frames.
  • Intermediate experience using Microsoft Applications, such as Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; and using Adobe Acrobat.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Previous health care or research background desired
