Job Description

Summary:             A web publisher, preferably with both linguistic and web publishing skills, the focus is on achieving web improvement for the international core page translation program in terms of translation quality, linguistic expertise, workflow, page preparation, SEO, localisation for our priority sites and languages in APAC (Simplified Chinese, Korean and Japanese). As part of a global web publishing team, there will be an opportunity to work with different part so the business on collaborative projects and explore the capabilities of new Oracle AI based technologies for personalisation and translation.

Job Purpose and Responsibilities

 

 

  • Manage inbound requests for selected International translation projects and translation queries.
  • Collaborate with translation providers to ensure translation quality meets internal stakeholder’s linguistic requirements.
  • Collaborate with field marketing to identify translation requirements and improve translation quality.
  • Lead translation review process by managing reviewers, administrating accounts in review tool and extracting review reports.
  • Deliver training sessions to educate marketing stakeholders in translation review.
  • Manage large translation requests for oracle.com content on a project-by-project basis in support of Global Business Units and work with translation vendors to deliver timely translations to quality.
  • Provide advice and guidance to internal Oracle customers regarding linguistic requirements of web content for international sites.
  • Provide training and mentoring to team members regarding linguistic questions, translation review, and localisation.
  • Report to management using agreed methods.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest advances in translation technology and services, and MSEO best practice especially in relation to global content.
  • Champion Japanese, Chinese (PRC) and Japanese Oracle.com sites to improve quality and engagement.
  • Continuously improve process efficiency through creative use of technology and resources.
  • Create educational material to support stakeholder engagement process and translation quality review.

 

 

 

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Keen interest and expertise in linguistics, native language, preferably another APAC language too.  This is not a translator position although it would suit a candidate with a translation background who has recently moved into a web publishing or a digital marketing role.
  • Good command of English, at a business level or above.
  • Able to build and maintain a strong network with internal stakeholders, other project contributors, and external resources.
  • Good organisational awareness and business integrity
  • Able to identify priority issues and manage stakeholder expectations through to completion.
  • Demonstrate awareness of current modern marketing practices in relation to delivery of international web content.
  • Solid knowledge of best web publishing practices

 

Beneficial Knowledge and Skills

 

  • Preferably able to converse in one other core business languages: Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified).
  • Able to manage international web projects required to support demand generation and marketing campaign activities.
  • Experienced in web content publishing
  • Hand code HTML,
  • Intermediate level or above Adobe Creative Suite and Office tools.
  • Interest and knowledge/desire to learn about NMT (Neural Machine Translation)
  • Direct experience of working with translation agencies and managing translation assets
  • Proven track record in delivering web projects. 
  • Any marketing experience relating to promotion or marketing across key social media channels or video platforms.
  • Expereince working with multi-lingual SEO projects, especially local search engine optimisation such as Naver, Baidu or Yahoo.
  • Publishing experience including corporate content management, content preparation and branding compliance.

Responsible for digital marketing of products or services in support of Oracle's demand generation strategy using tools to optimize marketing strategies and enhance the customer experience with new technology platforms and innovations.

Responsible for digital marketing activities to optimize the online user experience, increase marketing effectiveness. Executes online marketing programs such as search optimization (paid and natural search), affiliated marketing, social marketing, and viral marketing to create buzz and inbound demand responses. Drive traffic which ultimately generates sales pipeline. Translates ideas used in demand generation into promotional marketing campaigns and advertising personas. Ensures localized content is leveraged for all digital marketing channels including, web, social, paid advertising and outbound emails Conducts analysis for programs effectiveness and uses the findings for market site enhancements and to leverage optimization of all digital programs. Collects and analyzes digital/internet/website/mobile data and statistics which monitor and measure the performance of digital traffic and activities to support marketing and campaign optimization, lead generation for sales, product and engineering teams for continuous improvements to product and data driven decision making. Applies statistics-based market intelligence to business issues and formulates recommendations on optimizing the user experience and help drive business outcomes. Monitors and analyzes site performance and reviews tracking metrics to provide solutions to increase search engine ranking and creating marketing personas/audience profiles. Researches and evaluates new technology trends and identifies new optimization opportunities.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5+ years related experience. BA/BS degree or equivalent. Proficiency in web analytics applications, strong database skills and technical understanding of website architecture and mobile platforms.
