Oracle Store is an eCommerce platform for selling Oracle’s products and services to its customers and partners.

It is a one-stop place for the consumers to create, view and manage various transactions such as purchase SW, HW and Cloud-based services as well as track orders, subscribe memberships in various Oracle programs, renew support, manage cloud subscriptions and so on.

These are modern, intuitive and mobile-friendly/responsive web applications, designed to run on Oracle DB and utilize many cutting edge Oracle technologies

to interact with our various systems like Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Fusion and others.

As a HTML/CSS guru you will be working on the eCommerce platform for selling Oracle's products and services to its customers and partners.

You will design and develop large, complex web sites and applications, using modern front-end development technologies.

You will consult on usability, accessibility, browser-compatibility, and overall quality of projects.

 
Responsibilities\:

You will work closely with global engineering teams to deliver elegant solutions to business problems based on mockups.

You will be working on different projects at a time, with a wide variety of complexity and duration.

Sometimes you will work on an extension to existing functionality, other times you will be working on new products.

 
Specifically, as a site builder you will\:

• dive deep and work closely with UX and UI developers to ensure that requirements are translated into highly usable and compelling designs.

• rapidly iterate to validate ideas with end users and peers.

 
Site builder must be able to\:

• Create positive working relationships with people of varied disciplines.

• Keep up to date with recent technological and software developments

• Move with ease between the different cultures of business and technology.

• Attend to details while managing tasks appropriately with larger goals in mind.

• Work independently and with teams of varying size, often with people in remote locations in different time zones.

 
Requirements\:

• Proficient in web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, and CSS pre-processors such as Sass & Less

• Experience in developing and troubleshooting UI applications using Oracle APEX, HTML, OJET/React JS, Java, Javascript, Angular JS

• Experience designing mobile and responsive applications.

• Self-motivated & pro-active attitude. You will be chasing project teams to deliver the best user experience, even if not explicitly asked for.

• Strong analytical skills

• Strong desire to keep up with the latest industry design trends and patterns

• A portfolio demonstrating the ability to develop compelling user interface concepts and detailed visual design comps.

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in English.

• The candidate needs to show initiative, confidence and have great communication skills

• Ability to thrive in a multi-tasking environment and react quickly to shifting priorities.

• A bachelor's or master's degree Software technology or interaction design.

• Some flexibility in working hours is required for conference calls spanning three continents.

• Some travel is required to different Oracle offices for meetings.

 
Desirable\:

• Understand advanced JS libraries/frameworks (Angular, React, Oracle Jet, etc.)

• Experience in enterprise application design e.g. financials, eCommerce, ERP, CRM.

• Strong visual design skills

Detailed Description and Job Requirements\:

Responsible for creating, evaluating and modifying prototypes to support evolving hardware and software application development.

As a member of the User Experience/User Interface teams, you will develop and apply software design/usability processes in the investigation of technical problems. May develop user profiles, with emphasis on human error control, display issues, visual interaction, physical manipulation and task and objective analyses. Provide product usability, evaluation and support to product development teams, including the analysis and investigation of applications/systems including tactile methods, visual graphics, web, multimedia, voice response and conversational user interaction. May assist in developing design concept and implementation, providing input on user design considerations. May produce specifications describing user needs and internal structures for product in development.



!|!Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
