Position Summary: 

We are looking for a leader to drive our engagement within Government, at all levels and all departments. This is a senior role responsible for supporting governmental leadership by educating and helping shape thinking about digital transformation. You will need to focus on the requirements of digital adoption within the infrastructure industry and promote the long-term benefits of digitising assets at a country-wide level. A key part of the role is to build market awareness of Bentley's profile within key organisations and departments both within the government and supporting industry advancement. You need to be aligned to core programmes at Central Government level to advance Bentley's position, differentiating our leadership in the marketplace from that of others, through evangelisation, policy shaping & relationship building with key decision makers.

Leveraging your deep industry knowledge and contacts you will influence the market through industry events, policy forums, Think Tanks, etc. working closely with Sales and Account Teams, including other industry specialists as well as the broader business. As an industry leader you will engage deeply to build trusted relationships within the Governments central function helping them tackle the challenges around environmental, social problems via the benefits of digital infrastructure advancement.

 

Your Day-to-Day: 

  • Take a leadership role within industry organisations to develop informed opinions around key market issues, thus producing several whitepapers and leading industry roundtables.
  • Lead Bentley’s relationship within industry to accelerate strategies such as Digital twins and Digitisation. Thus, supporting and overcoming issues such as interoperability, poor collaboration, smarter working for a Modern Civil Service and Data Sharing at a national level.
  • Become an acknowledged, leading influencer in the market with a strong social media and events presence, elevating Bentley’s image and thought leadership
  • Actively represent the company’s viewpoints on Digital Transformation, Digital Twins at key industry events.
  • Assess and improve internal understanding of the Central Government function and influence through direct engagement and coaching to enable a more industry aligned approach across all scenarios.
  • Coach, guide and support account teams to identify and nurture future opportunities at early stages, including internal understanding of industry playbook publications.
  • Coach, guide and support regional marketing to drive customer engagement, focusing on new and up-coming policy changes.
  • Provide critical insights to Bentley HQ in order to shape product offerings and policies as well as other aspects of Bentley Solutions for the sector.
  • Communicating how Bentley technology drives outcomes that governments and industry associations care about

 

What You Bring to The Team: 

  • A minimum of 10 years’ industry experience delivering industry projects at a senior level.
  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience working with comparable vendors to Bentley, undertaking roles with responsibilities aligned with those outlined above.
  • A proven track record of successful strategic business development in the infrastructure market sector.
  • An industry leading presence on social platforms like LinkedIn
  • A demonstrable extensive senior infrastructure industry leaders’ network and contact list.
  • A strong engaging, driving, positive can do/will do attitude, eye for detail, resourceful, inquisitive and entrepreneurial
  • Excellent English language and written communication skills and the ability to effectively present information via phone, web and face-to-face.
  • To be a leading member of Industry organisations.
