Context

We're proud to be well positioned with our SaaS and cloud technology solutions and in order to fuel our current and future growth within our German Consulting Practice, we are currently planning to hire one experienced Project Manager for our team based in Germany (Munich, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Hamburg or Berlin).

YOUR FUTURE ROLE – Project Manager for SaaS engagements

As an acknowledged authority within Oracle, this senior-level project management position provides consistent high quality and innovative solution leadership with industry-wide impact. Responsible for guiding the successful implementation of an integrated business solution ensuring high quality and timely delivery within budget to the customer’s satisfaction.

• Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle’s solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices and product knowledge.
• Effectively applies Oracle’s methodologies and policies while adhering to contractual obligations, minimizing Oracle’s risk and exposure. As a position of professional influence, this individual frequently operates at the leading edge of technology.
• Recommends and justifies enhancements to Oracle products to meet very complex customer needs.
• Exercises creativity and independent judgement in identifying and resolving major issues and risks impacting project success according to PMI.
• Provides direction and mentoring to project teams.
• As a thought leader and trusted advisor, effectively influences decisions at the leadership level of customer organizations.
• Ensures customer deliverables are acceptable and works closely with the customer to understand and manage project expectations.
• Enables business development efforts by providing subject matter expertise. Manages the scope of medium to large-scale projects, and accounts with varying levels of complexity.

Key Skills/Qualifications

• Several years of experience relevant to this position including 5+ years of direct project management experience executed as delivery project manager with project P&L responsibility
• Proven record of min 3 full lifecycle implementations within a SaaS context
• Current PMI – PMP, Prince2 Practitioner or similar certification mandatory
• Hands-on experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Lead or Agile Coach, preferably within large organizations
• Demonstrated ability to follow solid project management principles and successfully manage projects of increasing complexity
• Experienced working in a matrix management environment
• Experience in bid management with influencing and negotiation skills to deal with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors
• ERP or HCM Product and Cloud technology focus would be a great plus
• Proven experience in managing offshore teams
• Graduate degree (Diploma/Master/Bachelor) or equivalent experience.

Language: Fluency in English &  German

Analyzes business needs to help ensure the solution meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. As a position of technical/professional influence, this individual frequently operates at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies enhancements to Oracle products to meet highly complex Customer needs. Exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments, generating creative and innovative business and technology solutions. Leads experienced consulting teams on the most challenging projects; works on substantive and unique issues. As a thought leader and trusted advisor, effectively influences the most difficult customer decisions and business transformation. Enables business development efforts by providing subject matter expertise. Drives creation of complex, integrated work plans. Resolves highly complex customer escalations. Spearheads the development of new solution sets based on assessment of industry needs, market demands and knowledge of competitive product offerings.

10+ years of experience relevant to this position including 7 years of consulting experience. Management or team leadership experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to lead large teams. Proficient in using selling and negotiation techniques and tools. Ability to travel as needed.
