Job Description

BACKGROUND:

Oracle HR is committed to actively contribute to the massive upshift in cloud growth by driving increased workforce productivity and capability, internal mobility, performance, and retention.

Oracle Japan recently organized a comprehensive review of its HR practices and capacity, career development framework and matrix management arrangements across business units. These reviews have made a number of recommendations that the organization would like to implement and therefore would like to undertake a number of projects over the next years.

The Senior Human Resources Manager/HRBP (IC4) will take the lead on the implementation of key strategic projects in line with the recommendations arising from the review either for client business units or for entire business units of Oracle Japan. 

 

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Senior HR Business Partner, you will build trusted advisor relationships with all levels of management across assigned client groups; partner with client business units (300-400 employees per HRBP as a guideline) to apply HR management principles and knowledge to establish rapport, trust, confidence and credibility with management and employees. Additionally, this position may be expected to play HR project manager role, responsible for the project management and delivery of strategic HR work streams resulting from the HR review that has been conducted recently. In this case, s/he will be responsible for creating, managing and executing various projects across various business units by working closely with the Head of HR, other HR Business Partners and HR Managers in other countries.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide strategic guidance on people and organizational issues: Employee Relations, Talent Management, Succession Planning, Performance Management and HR Strategic initiatives

Pro-actively translate business needs into HR solutions

Lead and support the execution of HR Programs, Tools, Metrics and Analytics

Manage employee relations issues and conduct workplace investigations

Participate in company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., workforce planning, salary/bonus/stock review, organizational change, performance management, and training assessment).

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

5+ years of Human Resources experience (3+years of HRBP)

Strong business acumen and ability to create analytics in support of HR business initiatives

Must be self-directed and able to work independently as well as in a team environment

Strong data analysis ability 

Background reflecting strong tenure and career progression within a complex organization

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and, effective problem solving ability

Project management skills and ability to manage complex projects with multiple stake holders in a fast paced environment

Business level Japanese and English

Experience supporting Sales organizations will be a plus

Experience working in large global corporation, “High Tech” industry will be a plus

Partners with business units/divisions in delivering Corporate and Divisional HR policies and programs.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem solving. Ability to travel. 8 years generalist experience and BA/BS degree. Experience in an HR specialty a plus.
