Software Assurance Program Management Director

Do you have a passion for high scale services and working with some of Oracle's most critical customers?  We are looking for a program management Director to lead a Software Assurance program and help lead our Program Management Office, including managing PMO staff and security analysts, planning for large cross organisational complex projects, tracking roadmaps and deliverables, communicating across Oracle at an Executive level, and interfacing with security personnel.  You will help grow your team members to achieve outstanding results.  You are ambitious, yet humble – you realise there are always opportunities for improvement, you take on feedback from team members and introspect to raise the bar for yourself and your team.  You are comfortable with ambiguity, exploring new complex codebases and systems, making your team shine.

Work You’ll Do

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and talented program management Director who has genuine excitement and interest in managing a software assurance program.  You will manage a software assurance program for product development programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams. You will plan and direct resource schedules as well as track deliverables for those schedules. Monitor the program from initiation through delivery, interfacing with stakeholders on technical matters. Assist in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interact across functional areas with senior management to ensure program's objectives are met. You have the ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. As a member of our team, you will work with development and security organisations based worldwide.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, CyberSecurity or related discipline,
  • 10+ years of industrial experience of program management, project management or related experience, with focus on software security and/or software assurance,
  • Ability to project manage technical work in the areas of mobile applications, cloud services, operating systems, or security research,
  • Strong communication skills and analytical skills,
  • Demonstrable ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations,
  • Demonstrable leadership and people management skills,
  • Demonstrable agile experience and use of program management tools,
  • Demonstrable experience with planning resource schedules and tracking deliverables,
  • Ability to manage cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams in various timezones,
  • Ability to work independently and as part of the team,
  • Eligibility to work in Australia without sponsorship is essential.

 

Nice to Have

  • Understanding of security vulnerabilities and security standards
  • Fluent in the use of Jira and Confluence
  • Familiar with usage of Microsoft Project
  • Software development experience
  • Understanding of cloud development

Manage people for product development programs or projects focused on the delivery of a product through the design process, and into a finished state for external customers.

Manage people for product development programs or projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product or computer-based system through the design process, and into a finished state for external customers. Plan and direct resource schedules as well as project budgets. Monitor the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on technical matters. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the product/program/project on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction. Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area preferred. Prefer seven years of project management, product design or related experience.
