Job Description
Oracle is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sustainability professional to fulfill the role of Sustainability Director to support customer and partner engagement. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with high-profile clients and partners from various sectors whilst developing and delivering a broad range of sustainability solutions.
Responsibilities
Customer Engagement
- Build C-Level customer relationships through the sustainability agenda by understanding ambitions, goals, and existing sustainability strategies.
- Identify and articulate customers' business needs and benefits to formulate pathways to meet their environmental, societal, and governance (ESG) ambitions.
- Establish deep relationships with key customers and partners to further develop our commercial ties.
- Support Sales teams with RFP responses, presentations, and demonstrations.
- Make the Oracle brand synonymous as a leader in ESG, supporting our customers to reach Net Zero.
- Understand and apply detailed knowledge of Oracle solutions to drive positive business outcomes for customers.
- Leverage partnerships to advance customer and Oracle objectives.
Thought Leadership
- Develop strategic relationships with industry stakeholders, experts, NGOs, and other relevant bodies.
- Support Oracle leadership by discussing our ESG capabilities with customers, industry analysts, and colleagues.
- Participate in significant internal and external events to advocate for Oracle's ability to help enterprise customers with their sustainability goals.
- Provide a holistic perspective on customer and partner challenges and an understanding of the competitive landscape.
- Foster community sharing of best practices and educational resources by empowering the team to share learnings
- Use data-driven arguments that articulate complex concepts in a simple manner.
- Participate in industry events (e.g., conferences, seminars, technical meetups, Webcasts, blogs, hackathons) and share learnings with the internal team.
- Run workshops, assemble panels of experts, and give Oracle talks to ensure teams keep innovating to the highest sustainability standards and maintain a leadership position.
- Mentor junior colleagues to educate them on technical and non-technical concepts.
Internal Collaboration
- Provide support for Global Sustainability Office (GSO) team in gathering and propagating insights and industry trends to help shape and form Oracle's strategy.
- Support public affairs function to represent stakeholders' interests in key policy areas.
- Work with corporate communications and marketing teams to develop consumer messaging and champion industry action.
Skills And Experience Required
- Demonstrated track record of at least ten years of engaging with customers and partners.
- Proven, results-driven approach to shaping and delivering successful strategic programmes and managing multiple projects and priorities across global time zones.
- Strong industry knowledge related to sustainability reporting and corporate sustainability strategy, including key environmental challenges and solutions in areas such as climate change, clean energy, carbon footprinting, water footprinting, and circular economy.
- Well-versed in reporting protocols (such as GHG Protocol, GRI, SASB, TCFD), key ESG indicators, and familiarity with rating standards.
- Experienced with implementing, using, or selling sustainability-related software capabilities.
- Ability to understand new and complex business models and challenges.
- Strong problem-solving skills to help formulate a deep understanding of market developments and customer needs.
- Ability to think strategically, use skills and expertise to make appropriate decisions, and know when to escalate matters to the senior leadership team.
- Capable of building relationships at all levels and working effectively with multi- and cross-functional teams.
- Confident communicator and public speaker.
- Commands a positive and constructive mindset.
- Possesses a sense of urgency.
- Self-starter, creative thinker, curious, passionate about sustainability, and driven.
This role reports to the Director of Global Sustainability.

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.As a member of the product development division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Define project needs. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.
Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
